Revma Pty Ltd (ABN 37 121 035 710) ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our equipment hire website and services, how we use it, how we keep it safe, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to hire equipment to you and run our business:
- Contact & booking details — your name, business name, email, phone, and the addresses for delivery, pickup or the job site.
- Identity documents — your driver's licence and any other ID you provide for our 100-point identity check before pickup.
- Hire & agreement records — your bookings, signed hire agreements, and quotes.
- Payment information — card payments are handled securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
Why we collect it
- To process and manage your equipment hire, bookings and payments.
- To verify your identity before releasing equipment.
- To prepare and keep records of your hire agreement.
- To contact you about your booking and provide support.
- To meet our legal, tax and safety obligations.
We will only use your information for marketing if you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
How long we keep it
We only keep personal information for as long as we genuinely need it, then securely delete or de-identify it (APP 11).
- Identity documents are stored privately and securely and are automatically and permanently deleted 90 days after upload. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
- Booking, agreement and financial records are kept for as long as needed to run the hire and to meet our tax and legal record-keeping obligations (generally up to 5–7 years), then securely destroyed.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access — including secure private storage for ID documents, restricted staff access, and a trusted payment provider for card details.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where needed to provide our services — for example with our payment provider (Stripe) to process payments — or where required by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete your ID documents early. To make a request, or if you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
